vonTrapp.org honors Baron Captain Georg von Trapp's ten children: seven children by Agathe Gobertina Whitehead (first wife), and three children by Maria Augusta Kutschera (second wife). From which, there are approximately 140 direct descendants. If you step back a few generations, to those that are descended from their parents and grandparents, then there are over a 1,000 people connected. If you step back yet again ten generations, there are tens of thousands of people with a common ancestor.
Through our ancestry, we are all more connected then we think!
Within the current descendants of the von Trapp family, common threads continue, as well as members branching out into new endeavors and professions. Part of our mission is to showcase the talents and professions of the descendants of the Trapp Family Singers.
